An email was sent out on the evening of Sept. 15 alerting the Lewis community that Garrick Bilobran, a graduate student who was studying in the College of Nursing and Health Professions, had passed away. Bilobran was only 35 years old and was a registered nurse studying to become a nurse practitioner.

“On behalf of the Lewis University community, we extend prayerful sympathy to the family of Garrick Bilobran,” wrote Joseph Falese, vice president for Student Services.

Visitation services will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 at Countryside Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. the following day on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at Resurrection Catholic Church.

Students are encouraged to visit the Lewis University Center for Health and Counseling Services on the lower level of Mother Teresa Hall if they should ever need counseling services in this time of mourning.
